From the H28 Association newsletter Issue 2 May 1999
"On a more sombre note, one classic timber H28 on our Register has been severely damaged recently and is probably an insurance write-off. NIAGARRA had been refitted with loving care over the last couple of years by James and Helen. In a northerly, her bow lines came adrift in her pen at Hobson's Bay Yacht Club, and she pounded herself apart. All of us in the Association who take pride in our yachts share our concern with James and Helen on the loss of a beautiful craft. We hope that someone out there is strong enough to take on her restoration."
